Family

My family has been awesome!! They support my decisions and back me up most of the time. They let me try new things and have fun with friends. In my family it's my mom, dad, and my sister. My mom works at Bella Romero Elementary School. My dad works at UNC as an academic advisor. My sister graduated from Frontier last year and now she lives at home and is a freshman at UNC. My sister and I are like any other brother-sister relationship; sometimes we argue but most of the time we are chill and get along great. The picture is of my family at a San Diego Padres baseball game in San Diego on our family vacation this summer in July. My parents have taken us on so many awesome trips and expierences.

Favorite

I have taken quite a few quality photos so far this semester. This was quite a hard decision for me to pick 1 photo to post. I like this selected photo because the geese or whatever sort of creature that is are all lined up on the rock edge. I wish i could take credit for putting them in order but no it was just a coincidence. It just looks so simple yet I think the composition of the piece is still above decent.

Cliche

My cliche is an overused sports saying in basketball. "He has the hot hand". This pretty much means a certain player is having a really good game, he is making every shot he is taking, and nobody can defend him. An example from the NBA would be Carmelo Anthony from the Denver Nuggets. He is currently leading the NBA in scoring with ovr 30 points per game.

Juxtapose

Creating/ finding a juxtapose example was fairly difficult. The best example i could figure out was Salt-Pepper. This is because they have opposite tastes yet people still put them together. It is strange yet addicting. I like this photo because you can distintcly see the salt "pebbles" and the lil black salt pieces.

Juxtapose

Juxtapose is quite an interesting way of art. It was pretty difficult to find two pictures that I had taken that were complete opposites. My pictures are not perfectly juxtapose but they are pretty dang close. Actually I just tried to load the photos onto my blog and it identified some sort of problem. I will post the photos over the weekend, please trust me on this and they will be successfully uploaded soon.

Passion

My big passion in life is sports. I absolutely love sports, I play them year round. I could play nearly every sport out there except for soccer and under water basket weaving, HAHA!! Anyway I have no idea what I would do with my life if I didnt play sports. I might as well just like crawl in a hole and just sleep the rest of my life away; which by the way is pretty much the 2nd best thing in the world. I have played sports for as long as I can remember and there are very few moments am not fond of playing sports. I am probably more passionate about sports than I am about school!! I spend more time working on my skills and practicing than I do doing school work and homework. And I am proud of this fact too!! The picture that follows will most likely be our varsity basketball team shoe this year. which I can barely wait for....we have a game at the Pepsi Center this year and our team will be really good.

E-Week

My e-week class was amazingly awesome! I took world foods with Mr Johnson, who is a charachter in his self. A little overview is next. On wednesday we rode the short bus over to Fort Collins. There we shopped at Safeway, went on a tour of sprouts(an organic food store), visited a pumpkin patch, ate lunch at Rasta Pasta-that was pretty awesome. My friend and I, Alex Zenk, ate the hottest dish on the menu. It was nearly unbearable. We got our picture on the "Wall of Flame". You only got on the wall if you finished off the whole dish, it had an extreme amount of habeneros on it ontop of all the kick it already had. On Thursday we cooked all sorts of yummy dishes. On Monday we did more cooking and had an awesome day cooking at Ellie Sicks house, aka the principals house. On Tuesday we made two dishes then we split into 4 groups and had an intense cook off. My team of freshman Isaac Reinert and Drew Coggswell, along with fellow sophmore Brandon Thaxton thought we were gonna get dead last but ended up getting 2nd. Our dish was Shrimp, oinon, red bell peppers, and pineapple. We also made a smoothie. We were planning to put chorizo on the kabobs but Mr Zenk cranked up the grill and it got torched=(. It was one of the most amazing weeks of high school so far. In the photo on the right we are grilling our kabobs on the grill; at the bottom of the picture you can view the grilled chorizo laying on the grate. I like the picture because you can see the flames and smoke coming off the grill. It isnt that clear but I like the overall setting of it. In the photo on the left Alex Zenk and Jared Breay are preparing their triangular burgers for the grill. Thier group took everyone by surprise and took first place. This photo is pretty much an action shot of all the chaos of the cook off.
